Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 from February 27, 2010 to Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is an unassuming community that is located on the West Island, which is an island in Montreal. A lot of people who aren't aware of they mistakenly believe they are on the West Island extends westward from Montreal. It is actually the West Island includes everything westward of the city of Lachine. It is often cited as the birthplace of Amanda Brugel but while that is true, her stay there was short. Brugel grew in Courtice in the town of Oshawa. Her first ambition was to dance but the growth rate of her body meant she grew beyond her dance partners. In an article in The Toronto Star she admitted In heels I'm 6 feet 1 inch. After I outgrew the male counterparts, I resigned. The majority of dancers who have been ex-dancers now turn into acting. In Brugel's situation, it was a suggestion by a high school drama teacher that pushed her to take the next step. The teacher who suggested she take on a part in the school's annual production. She tried out and ended up playing the leading role in Anne of Green Gables. She was given a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship to go to York University's Theatre Program, where she graduated at the age of 20 with a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. Since then, for the more than 20 years since then, Brugel was offered roles in more than 60 productions on both small and large screens attracting the most attention after she landed the character of Rita in the award-winning show The Handmaid's Tale (pictured below). Brugel was the sole Canadian for the season 1 actors of the series and seen only occasionally, was the sole Canadian.
